Urgent, On-The-Day Care
Our Duty Team, consisting of a doctor and our Advanced Nurse Practitioner, manages our urgent care every morning.  To access this urgent, on-the-day service patients are required to ring the surgery between 8.00 and 10.00am each morning.

Appointments can be made up to 4 weeks in advance.

We know that it can be difficult to talk to people if you're having difficulties with your mental health. Doc Ready helps you prepare for the first time you visit a doctor to discuss your mental health. Visit for advice and information about what to expect and how to plan speaking to a GP.

Evening and Weekend Opening

We operate extended working hours for routine booked appointments as detailed on our Opening Hours page. If you require an appointment for an evening telephone consultation please book with reception.  Saturday morning appointments are available to book online.

Telephone Calls and Email Enquiries

If you need to speak to your GP on a non-urgent or routine matter please ring the surgery.  The call may be put through if the GP is not actually involved in a consultation, or your details will be taken and given to the GP requested for him/her to ring when next available.  If this is the case the receptionist will inform you when you can expect a call back or they may ask you to ring in on another day.

You may also email your routine enquiry which will then be forwarded to the GP.  Email us at

You can cancel an appointment 24 hours a day by calling 01249 479809 or by clicking here.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.  We are working hard to reduce the number of wasted appointments so please make sure you cancel an unwanted appointment.
