In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have changed the way we provide medical care to minimise risk to our patients and staff.

GP appointments:

We are now running a full telephone triage service and, if it is deemed necessary to see you face to face, an appointment will be offered.

Nursing appointments:

Some routine nurse reviews (e.g. asthma, COPD, diabetes) have been changed to telephone calls.  Other nursing appointments will go ahead, but patients with any of the following:

  • Fever
  • Continuous cough
  • ANY overseas travel history
  • Contact with a person with confirmed/suspected case of Covid-19

must call the surgery before your appointment and a healthcare professional will contact you by telephone to advise.

If you feel your appointment is not essential and/or would prefer not to attend, we would be grateful if you could call or email the surgery to cancel.

Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time, and we will endeavour to keep you updated with any further changes.

Covid-19 Testing

For information about Covid-19 testing please visit: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing-for-coronavirus/ask-for-a-test-to-check-if-you-have-coronavirus/

If you are unable to access the internet you can call a dedicated telephone line which can be used to order a test if no other options are available.  Call 0300 303 2713 between the hours of 7am and 11pm. Around 98% of all test results are sent automatically to the individual within four days but, for any that aren't, the Call Centre can help individuals to follow up on their results.  Please do not request tests via NHS 111 as the service is not able to provide this.
