Chlamydia

Chlamydia Testing

* We offer free and confidential chlamydia testing.  You can pick up a test kit in any of the surgery WCs and do the test within the surgery or take it home to do and send off. Alternatively you can order a free testing kit online at www.freetest.me that will be delivered to you in discreet packaging. Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted disease but you won't know if you or your partner are infected because there are often no symptoms.  Left untreated it can lead to serious health problems and is a leading cause of infertility. Annual testing is recommended if you are sexually active. The test is simple, painless and reliable so pick up a kit.

Did You Know?

This means you can tell others about your visit but we won’t. We would only share your information with other professionals to protect you or others from serious harm but we would always try to discuss this with you first.

If you have any questions about confidentiality please feel free to speak to a nurse or doctor.

Under 18?

If you would like to have your own mobile number recorded in your notes instead of your home or parent's mobile just let us know - it's your choice.

You have the right to access your own medical records and register for a SystmOnline account in your own name.  This will enable you to book or cancel appointments online and order any repeat prescriptions you may need. You can also choose to allow your parents to have proxy access to your records so that they can do this on your behalf. Parents need your permission to do this if you are over the age of 11 - you will need to sign our form authorising them to have access.
