Every bereavement is different and there are different steps to take, depending on the circumstances of your bereavement. The National Bereavement Service (NBS) provides bespoke practical and emotional bereavement support, from finding a reliable funeral director and guiding you through the legal side of bereavement to signposting for counselling for those coping with grief and mourning.

Their core hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm, Saturday 10am - 2pm. If these times don't suit your circumstances, you can let them know and they will contact you to arrange a more suitable time.

Support After Suicide Service

Swindon and Wiltshire Support After Suicide Service

Rethink offer support to anyone affected or bereaved by suicide in Swindon and Wiltshire. Their core opening hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. For those who require support during the evening or weekends as a result of day time commitments, they provide support up to 8pm.

They provide 1:1 support through face-to-face, online, telephone or WhatsApp; whatever suits your needs best. 

To make a initial referral or to refer yourself you can complete this referral form. Alternatively, you can call the Wiltshire Access Service on 08082 803528 who will take your referral information or email sandwsupportaftersuicide@rethink.org.

The Living Well Team

Our Living Well Team are available to support you. They will visit you, listen to you and encourage you to find groups and activities to help you find a sense of purpose following your loss.  Patients are able to refer themselves to the team directly by contacting 01249 462775 and choosing option 3 for additional support.
