No Worries!

Lodge Surgery is a No Worries! Venue.

No Worries! is a young people friendly service for 13-24 year olds.

We offer confidential advice on sexual health issues, contraception and relationship issues to all young people even if you are not registered here as a patient.

  • Emergency hormonal contraception
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Condoms and condom demonstration
  • Chlamydia testing and treatment for ages 16-24*
  • Advice and support around sexual health

If you are aged between 13-24 and would like to use this service please ask us for a No Worries! appointment.  You won't be asked why you need it.  You will be given a short questionnaire to complete just so that we can offer you the most appropriate appointment on the same day.  If you have a smartphone you can download the No Worries! app for more information or visit www.facebook.com/NoWorriesWiltshire

Confidentiality

We offer a free & confidential sexual health service, you do not have to be registered at the surgery.

We would only share your information with other professionals to protect you or others from serious harm.

We would always try to discuss this with you first.

If you have any questions about confidentiality, please feel free to speak to the nurse or your doctor.

eC-Card App

Young people between the ages on 13 - 24 can now download the eC-Card App to request free condoms. Use it to scan the QR Code in our window and show a receptionist your "order" to be handed a pack which contains condoms and lube. No details are needed and no questions will be asked.

This scheme will help us ensure we are able to keep track on how much stock we have and how much we need, while offering young people anonymity and discretion.

You can find the eC-Card App on Google Play or the Apple Store.

Chlamydia

Chlamydia Testing

* We offer free and confidential chlamydia testing.  You can pick up a test kit in any of the surgery WCs and do the test within the surgery or take it home to do and send off. Alternatively you can order a free testing kit online at https://www.sh.uk/ that will be delivered to you in discreet packaging. Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted disease but you won't know if you or your partner are infected because there are often no symptoms.  Left untreated it can lead to serious health problems and is a leading cause of infertility. Annual testing is recommended if you are sexually active. The test is simple, painless and reliable so pick up a kit.

Did You Know?

Patients of any age are able to make an appointment to see a doctor or nurse. We provide a free and confidential service to all young people including under 16s. This means you can tell others about your visit but we won’t. We would only share your information with other professionals to protect you or others from serious harm but we would always try to discuss this with you first.

If you have any questions about confidentiality please feel free to speak to a nurse or doctor.

Under 18?

If you would like to have your own mobile number recorded in your notes instead of your home or parent's mobile just let us know - it's your choice.

You have the right to access your own medical records and register for a SystmOnline account in your own name.  This will enable you to book or cancel appointments online and order any repeat prescriptions you may need. You can also choose to allow your parents to have proxy access to your records so that they can do this on your behalf. Parents need your permission to do this if you are over the age of 11 - you will need to sign our form authorising them to have access.
